We were blessed to have Anna support the birth of our second child. After a very long and painful birth of our first born having a doula was a priority for me the second time around. Anna and I met and I was instantly attracted to her professionalism but also realistic attitude to birth and babies. As a professional mum I was not interested in all the lavender oil and chanting but getting my baby out healthy and with little or no intervention.
During the birth Anna plays an active role but is also mindful of how special the experience is and having Anna in the room does not subtract from the moment with your partner.
Anna supported my wishes before during and after the birth. As a result our baby was born healthy and accordingly to my wishes, which was a fabulous outcome.
For the men, having a doula offers them relief to know someone else they trust can help their partner fullfil the most amazing experience they will ever know.
Anna is now a friend and a trusted support and I would not hesitate in recommending her services to anyone. I only wish I had Anna the first time around!
